Happy Step is ecological sound insulation made from environmentally-friendly wood fibre - perfect for high-quality floor constructions in new buildings and renovations. The diffusion-open, pressure-resistant base board reliably insulates even the loudest footfall and impact noise. It also absorbs point loads, which spares the floor covering, extends its life and further improves walking comfort. Happy Step is produced in Germany from renewable raw materials and is constructionally safe - the natureplus certification proves it.

Ingredients
- Untreated fir and spruce wood

Storage and processing
- Store and use the baseplate in a dry place, away from moisture.
Basement
- The substrate must be dry, flat and technically flawless.
- If necessary, install a moisture barrier in accordance with DIN 18195.
Cutting
- Cut with a carpet cutter.
Installation
- Maintain a distance of 10 mm from the wall
- Avoid cross joints.
- In the case of underfloor heating, take into account the R values (link to "Technical data") of the base plate.
- If necessary, glue the Happy Step with carpet adhesive.
Floor structure Insulation for different floor coverings
Prefabricated/laminate flooring
- Happy Step floating installation.
- The finished parquet or laminate should also be laid as a floating installation; follow the manufacturer's instructions.
- If the substrate is not dry, install moisture protection.
Carpets
- Glue Happy Step to the entire surface using carpet adhesive.
- Glue the carpet to Happy Step.
- In the case of carpet, panel joints may appear.
- High point loads can lead to pressure points; not suitable for wheelchairs.
Liège
- Glue Happy Step to the entire surface using carpet adhesive.
- Glue the cork covering to the base plate using carpet adhesive.
