The spruce skirting board is inserted precisely between the soundproofing panels using a tongue-and-groove joint. It ensures a stable connection between the Thermosafe-nf panels and allows planks or floorboards to be screwed on securely, creating a comfortable, stable wooden floor. The decoupling of the skirting boards also reduces the transmission of impact noise. Dry construction with Thermosafe-nf also allows work to progress quickly, as no drying time is required. Like all Gutex ecological wood-fibre insulation materials, this insulation board is natureplus-certified, so it is proven to be constructionally safe - free from harmful components. What's more, the soundproofing panel is recyclable.

Storage and processing
- Store and use Thermosafe-nf in a dry place.
Cutting
- Cutting using a Gutex jigsaw blade or a hand-held circular saw with dust extraction; the legal requirements for handling wood dust must be observed.
Basement
- The substrate must be dry, flat and technically flawless.
- If necessary, install a moisture barrier in accordance with DIN 18195.
Installation
- Lay the mouldings with the marked side up and the panels with the marked side down.
- Apply the edge strip up to the top edge of the Thermosafe-nf.
- Lay the battens at least 20 mm from the wall; leave a gap of 1 to 3 mm between the batten joints.

- Stagger the joints of the installation battens by at least 1 m from one batten to the next.
- The start and end plates must be at least 12 cm wide.

- For higher insulation thicknesses under Thermosafe-nf, use Thermosafe-wd wood fibre insulation board up to a maximum of 100 mm.
- The minimum thickness of the floorboard or strip is 19 mm.
- There should be at least two fixing points per floorboard or parquet.
