Gutex Thermosafe-wd is a compression-resistant wood-fibre insulation board for a wide range of indoor applications - ideal for floor structures, subsequent insulation of the upper storey ceiling and interior insulation of roofs and walls. In floor constructions, it provides pleasant warmth for the feet and is ideal for use as an underlay under screed, even in high building heights.

Gutex Thermosafe-wd is a universal insulation board that impresses with its high compressive strength and a load capacity of up to 5 kN/m². It thus provides a stable base for load-bearing floor constructions. Thermosafe-wd is also versatile: it is ideal for retrofitting insulation in upper floor ceilings as well as for interior insulation of roofs and walls. As an ecological, diffusion-open and moisture-regulating wood fibre insulation board, Thermosafe-wd contributes to a healthy indoor climate and ensures year-round living comfort: protection against heat in summer, protection against cold in winter and significant noise reduction. Storage and processing
- Store and use the panels in a dry place.
Preparing the substrate
- Create a dry, flat and technically flawless surface.
- If necessary, install a moisture barrier in accordance with DIN 18195.
Cutting
- Cutting with Gutex blades for jigsaws, hand-held circular saws or special saws for insulating materials (e.g. Festool heavy-duty saws); the statutory regulations on handling wood dust must be observed.
Installation
- In the case of several layers, work in staggered rows.
- Cross joints should be avoided.
- Apply a fascia strip at the same height as the entire structure.
- Lay the tiles with a bond: place the off-cuts from one row of tiles at the beginning of the next row (see installation diagram).
- If the screed is damp, apply a damp-proofing film to the panels.
