The Thermowall WDVS thermal insulation system, approved by the Swiss Federal Office for Construction, is a durable thermal insulation composite system for the external insulation of façades without rear ventilation. With rendering systems from a wide range of manufacturers and application-specific insulation boards made of environmentally friendly wood fibres, it leaves nothing to be desired - both in terms of design and practical application. Thermowall WDVS impresses with its very good thermal and acoustic insulation, its high degree of robustness and its building physics safety, which is further enhanced by the window and door connection systems Implio F and Implio P can be further optimised.
Thanks to a wide range of approved rendering systems, the Thermowall thermal insulation system offers maximum flexibility in terms of supply, logistics and design, in line with building legislation: it combines environmentally-friendly wood fibre insulation boards that can be rendered with mineral fabric undercoats, as well as a variety of finishing renders - including thick or felt renders - and suitable façade colours. This diversity is regulated by technical approvals Z-33.47-660 and Z-33.43-942.
The Thermowall eco-friendly composite thermal insulation system offers a wide range of wood fibre insulation panels. Thanks to their special properties, these panels can be installed on the façade all year round, as they can be exposed to the elements for up to five months in winter, provided they are installed correctly and protected by appropriate measures, such as roof drainage. The temperature-sensitive plaster can then be applied during the warmer months of spring. Thermowall insulation boards have been specially designed to meet a variety of requirements – from traditional installation on solid wood walls, timber frame constructions and mineral substrates such as masonry and concrete, to prefabrication. Optionally, the panels can be combined with cork insulation elements to provide additional safety reserves in areas exposed to moisture.
Like plaster systems, Thermowall plaster carrier boards are diffusion-open and moisture-regulating. These properties contribute to a healthy indoor climate, protect the building structure and make the WDV system particularly durable. The high heat-storing capacity of wood-fibre boards provides excellent protection against heat in summer and cold in winter. Manufactured from PEFC-certified wood, which would otherwise be thermally recycled, the boards make an important contribution to conserving resources and protecting the climate. This is because the carbon stored in wood as a component of CO2what's more, this durable system provides excellent acoustic insulation, promoting pleasant calm, relaxation and well-being.
With Implio P and Implio F, Gutex offers wood-fibre-based window and door connection systems that can be used as optional extras and contain all the important details for permanently perfect waterproofing. Both systems leave the important work of waterproofing to a single specialist craftsman: this not only reduces the risk of damage to the building from wind and rain, but also saves time. Construction proposals, tender texts and expert advice help with planning and installation and promote smooth, efficient project progress.
The Thermowall thermal insulation system not only impresses with its durability and versatility, but also with its comprehensive planning and implementation support. With tested constructions, detailed planning documents and first-class support, it provides an optimum basis for the planning and implementation of new buildings and façade upgrades.
The cost of ITE depends on a number of factors: the type of insulation used, the size of the façade, the rendering system chosen and the thermal insulation requirements. Thermowall ecological ITE offers a wide choice of panels and rendering systems, from which it is possible to select the right components for each building or renovation project. Thanks to sustainable construction, energy savings and the possibility of obtaining state subsidies, the investment generally pays for itself in a reasonable time. The exact payback period is determined, for example, by the energy advisor, who also applies for state aid.
The components of the Thermowall WDVS system are approved by the building authorities and perfectly matched to each other, guaranteeing reliable building physics safety and facilitating planning and implementation. The use of tested components contributes to a sustainable, energy-efficient façade solution with a comprehensive system guarantee.
The Thermowall ecological thermal insulation composite system consists of a single-layer, homogeneous wood-fibre insulation panel and approved rendering systems adapted to this panel. These rendering systems are based on a mineral reinforcement render with reinforcement fabric, to which various finishing renders are applied. Depending on the rendering system, a suitable façade paint may be applied. Optional components such as base paint, insulating primer, etc. complete the system.
