Gutex Thermoinstal is the environmentally-friendly insulation board for installation levels. Compared with batten constructions, it reduces the risk of thermal bridges and at the same time improves sound insulation - ideal for installation levels where noise-generating heating, water or ventilation pipes are laid in addition to cables. What's more, Thermoinstal is pressure-resistant and dimensionally accurate, so it can be installed quickly - especially when prefabricating wall elements.

Thermoinstal is a highly compression-resistant insulation specially designed for use in timber constructions. The durable installation insulation is laid over the entire surface and without gaps on the outer or inner wall of the dry construction. The installation channels are then precisely milled into the diffusion-open wood fibre insulation board and finally covered with gypsum plasterboard or fibre cement board. Thermoinstal is a construction-safe insulation, as proven by natureplus certification, and is also a recyclable installation insulation made in Germany.

Storage and processing
- Store and use Thermoinstal in a dry place.
Cutting
- Cutting is carried out using the Gutex jigsaw blade, a hand-held circular saw or special saws for insulating materials (e.g. Festool heavy-duty saws). The statutory regulations on handling wood dust must be observed.
Basement
- The substrate must be dry, flat and technically flawless, preferably a load-bearing wooden panel at least 15 mm thick. Beware of building damp!
Important note
- Avoid cross joints.
Installation
- Lay Thermoinstall on a full surface with no gaps and fix it with staples, screws or nails.
- Milling the installation channels with woodworking machines.
- Apply and fix the inner facing (minimum thickness 12.5 mm) over the entire surface and without any gaps, for example using plasterboard screws (75 mm) every 150 mm, with a grid of 62.5 cm.
