Extreme weather events such as heavy rain, hail, storms and heat pose increasingly significant challenges for roof constructions. Tecadio is the innovative roof renovation system for safe and effective exterior reinforcement – even for new buildings. The airtight membrane laid on the surface of the rafters replaces the complex valley and ridge method and greatly simplifies connections to valley beams, dormers, clamps, etc. In combination with a rainproof underlay and diffusion-open wood fibre insulation, Tecadio guarantees optimum building physics safety and excellent protection against moisture, heat and noise. The result: a safe and durable roof, improved living comfort and reduced energy costs.
Tecadio is a roof insulation system that is efficient, error-free and flexible in application.
Tecadio simplifies roof renovation from the outside and delivers a safe and durable result: the roof is stripped down to the rafters without removing the interior cladding, so residents can continue to use the attic space. The system's airtight membrane, laid flat on the rafters, is both extremely diffusion-open and airtight. It replaces the costly and error-prone ridge and valley method and greatly facilitates demanding connections within the roof surface – whether at valley beams, dormers, clamps, etc. The Ultratherm diffusion-open underlay panel laid on top often guarantees, from a thickness of 60 mm, the optimum safety of this construction in terms of building physics. Between the rafters, Thermofibre or Thermoflex diffusion-open insulation materials provide excellent protection against heat in summer and cold in winter.
Tecadio's water drainage layer consists of Ultratherm underlay, which provides optimal protection against rain, hail and cold air passing through it. From a roof pitch of 15°, the panel is rainproof up to a 3 mm joint and, thanks to its patented tongue and groove system, requires no additional overlapping or gluing, nor any nail sealing tape. With the highest hail protection class HW5 (tested by TÜV), Ultratherm guarantees maximum safety and can be used as a temporary roof for three months, or even six months with a roof pitch of 20°, even in adverse weather conditions. Thanks to its robust tongue-and-groove profiling, the wood fibre insulation panel can be installed quickly and safely.
The wood-fibre insulation in the Tecadio roof renovation system dries quickly on the underside and protects the roof structure from moisture damage, even in the event of condensation and minor leaks. Its high thermal storage capacity effectively protects against summer heat and winter cold, reducing energy costs and significantly increasing living comfort under the roof. Excellent sound insulation further enhances quality of life. All insulation materials are made from PEFC-certified wood, which would otherwise be thermally recycled. The wood-fibre insulation is also natureplus-certified and recyclable, making Tecadio a sustainable choice for future-proof roof renovations.
The Tecadio roof renovation system consists of high-performance, moisture-regulating Thermoflex semi-rigid attic insulation placed between the rafters, followed by an airtight, diffusion-open membrane approved by the Gutex system partners, before the rain- and hail-resistant Ultratherm sub-roof panel completes the structure. This combination offers maximum safety in terms of building physics and durability when renovating a wood-fibre roof.

The Tecadio system's wood-fibre components, which are open to diffusion and partly resistant to rain and hail, have a high rehydration potential and protect the roof construction from moisture damage over the long term. The ZVDH guarantee deposit provides additional security for tradesmen: in the event of a claim, it covers the costs of materials, dismantling and assembly, as well as scaffolding costs.
